About Her

Leah Jay is a first-year Computing Student majoring in Computer Science.

UWI Millennium Fellow

A Millenium fellow is an undergraduate student who aims to develop leadership skills through the program while encouraging community impact in alliance with Sustainable Goals set by the United Nations likewise her journey as a Millennium fellow was an impactful one, from the young change-makers she has met globally, to the impactful project which she undertook called 'Fi we future' which gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation for volunteerism.

Youth Parliamentarian (Saint James Representative)

She decided to become a youth parliamentarian because she felt it was one of the best platforms to express her passion for advocacy and desire for the future of Jamaica’s youth.

Miss Tayloria 2023-2024

Leah Jay entered Miss Tayloria after she started to develop an interest in pageants based on my experience participating in Miss Festival Queen which taught her valuable life lessons and introduced her to some amazing lifelong friends.

Her Aspirations

To be the speaker of the house of the Jamaica Parliament and head of cybersecurity for Jamaica's military.

Her recent achievements

As a first-year student, Leah Jay was on the dean's list for semester 1 and hopes to be on it again this semester as well
